1 Pound Senator coffee---75%coffee 25%chicory
3 Pints of water (cold)

Mix the coffee and (3) three of water (cold) into a pot, heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes (DO NOT LET IT BOIL).

Let this cool down a bit and then pour through a cotton cloth or a filter. Boil the remaining (2) two pints of water, take the dregs and transfer to another pot. Pour the boiling water onto the dregs and bring this to just below the boiling point.

Pour this through a cotton cloth or filter and mix the two lots together. Let the extract cool slightly and then bottle.

This is enough extract for approx. (100) cups
