WW'S FAMOUS GERMAN APPLE CAKE | |
2 c. chopped nuts 2 lg. eggs 2 c. sugar 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. salt 4 c. raw apples, thinly sliced 1 c. oil 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla Beat eggs until foamy. Add oil and beat again. Sift together dry ingredients and add to above. Mix in apples, nuts and vanilla (mix is very stiff). Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes; check center with toothpick. If not clean, cover loosely with foil and bake for another 5 minutes. Repeat until toothpick in center comes out clean. Use 9 x 13 inch glass baking dish, floured. |
