BROWNIE PUDDING | |
1 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. cocoa 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 2 tbsp. melted shortening 3/4 c. chopped nuts TOPPING: 3/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. cocoa 1 3/4 c. hot water 1. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cocoa and sugar. 2. Add milk, vanilla and shortening; mix until smooth. 3. Add nut meats. 4. Spread into greased 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. 5. Mix sugar and cocoa. Sprinkle over batter. 6. Pour hot water over entire batter (this makes a "baked on sauce" for pudding). 7. Bake in preheated oven. Time: 40-45 minutes. Temperature: 350 degrees. |
