APPLE CRISP 
3 lg. baking apples (about 1 1/2 lb.)
2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1/4 tsp. grated lemon peel
1/4 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. oat bran
2 tbsp. light brown sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1/4 c. butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 8 inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Arrange peeled, cored and sliced apples in pan. Sprinkle lemon juice and peel over apples.

Combine flour, bran, brown sugar and spices in a small bowl. Cut in softened butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle mixture over apples. Bake 30-40 minutes until lightly browned. Serves 6.
