CRAN APPLE CRISP 
2 c. fresh, whole cranberries
3 c. sliced peeled apples
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. quick cooking oatmeal
1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. butter, softened (or butter)

Combine first 5 ingredients and turn into shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish. (8 x 8) Combine brown sugar, oats, and flour; cut in butter and spoon over cranberry mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Serve warm, topped with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
