SOUTHWESTERN CORN BREAD 
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. milk
1 c. cream style corn
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilis
1/4 c. butter
1/2 - 3/4 c. shredded Cheddar

Saute onions and chilis in butter. In a large bowl combine dry ingredients. Beat egg and milk together by hand in another bowl and then stir in corn. Combine all ingredients. Stir until dry ingredients are moistened. Put in greased 8x8 inch pan. Bake 35-40 minutes in 400 degree oven. Great with chili.
