EASY BROWNIES 
6 tbsp. cocoa
7 1/2 tbsp. shortening or butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Melt shortening over low heat. Add cocoa and blend. Remove from heat. When cool, add rest. Mix well. Pour into greased 9 inch square pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Let cool.
