MOM'S BAKED BEANS 
1 1/2 lbs. dry beans
1 lb. bacon
1/4 c. white sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. molasses
1 med. onion, chopped
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 can tomato soup
2 1/2 c. boiling water (use liquid from cooked beans)

Soak beans several hours or overnight. Drain. Cover beans with cold water, bring to a boil and simmer 1/2 hour. Drain and save liquid. Grease beanpot. Repeat layers of beans sprinkled with salt, pepper, mustard and onions, with bacon between layers. Pour tomato soup over final layer. Bring bean liquid to a boil. Add sugars and molasses. Pour over beans. Bake 4 to 6 hours at 275 degrees. Add more liquid if necessary.
