RECIPE COLLECTION
“BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE” IS IN:

BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter softened
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine, softened
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cream butter, margarine and sugar together until well mixed. Beat in eggs one at a time until well blended. Stir in flour and buttermilk alternately. Stir baking soda into the remaining 1/3 cup of buttermilk and add that to batter. Add vanilla to batter.

Pour batter into greased Bundt pan (Pam or non-stick cooking spray works just fine), or two greased bread loaf pans.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until golden brown. Cool before removing from pans.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS:

1: Serve with fresh strawberries and cool whip, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream.

2: Toast slices in a toaster then spread with butter.
