OLD-FASHIONED BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE | |
1 c. oil 2 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. buttermilk 4 eggs 3 c. flour 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. lemon extract Cream oil and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Sift flour, salt and baking soda together. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk to the egg mixture with some of the flour being the last addition. Add lemon extract. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325°F for 1 1/2 hours. |
