CHEDDARED RAISIN MUFFINS 
2 c. flour
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. butter
1 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 egg, beaten
1 c. milk
3/4 c. raisins

Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Cut in butter as for pastry. Stir in cheese; combine egg and milk, add to dry mixture, stirring only until all the flour is moistened. Fold in raisins. Spoon into well greased muffin pans, filling about 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until nicely browned. Serve hot. Makes 12 muffins.
