BUBBLE WREATH 
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
3 tbsp. butter, melted
2 tbsp. light corn syrup, honey, or maple-flavored syrup
1/2 c. candied cherry halves, chopped; diced mixed candied fruits and peels; or raisins
1/4 c. chopped or sliced nuts
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
Basic Sweet Dough
1/4 c. butter, melted

Stir together the brown sugar; 2 tablespoons melted butter; and corn syrup, honey, or maple-flavored syrup. Spread in the bottom of a greased 10-inch tube pan. Place candied cherries, candied fruits and peels, or raisins on top the brown sugar mixture. Sprinkle with the nuts. Set aside.

Stir together sugar and cinnamon. Set aside. Prepare Basic Sweet Dough. Shape into 48 small balls; roll balls in 1/4 cup melted butter, then in sugar-cinnamon mixture. Place coated balls in layers in the prepared pan. Let rise in a warm place until nearly double, about 30 minutes.

Bake in a 400 degree oven about 35 minutes or until done; cover loosely with foil the last 10 minutes of baking time. Let cool 1 minute; loosen from pan. Quickly turn out onto a wire rack. Cool. Makes 1 loaf.
