ITALIAN KNOTS 
6 eggs, well beaten
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. vegetable oil
5 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. anise extract or few drops anise oil
5 to 6 c. flour

In a large mixer, beat eggs w/electric mixer. Add rest of ingredients. Mix well. Add 3 cups flour, blend with beater. Then add remaining flour and mix by hand until dough is the right consistency (does not stick to your fingers). Roll dough the size of walnut. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 5 to 6 dozen. Frost and decorate as desired.
