MY MOTHER'S MOTHER'S HOMEMADE

1/2 c. lukewarm water
1 tsp. sugar
1 envelope yeast

Combine and let rise in warm place for 10 minutes. 1/2 c. Crisco 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. vinegar 3 1/2 c. lukewarm water 8-10 c. flour Yeast mixture

In large pot or bowl, put the white sugar, Crisco, salt, vinegar, and the lukewarm water. Add the risen yeast mixture to 8-10 cups of flour, just enough so dough will not be sticking to hands. Put in greased pot, cover with cloth. Let rise in warm place for 2 hours.

Knead (punch) down, let rise again for 1 hour. Knead down and form into buns. Cover with cloth when in greased pans and set to rise 3 hours. Cook at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes. When done, brush with butter.
