3 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
2 sq. chocolate or 2 good tbsp. cocoa
2 tbsp. molasses

Boil until it forms a soft ball when a little is dropped in cold water. Add some vanilla and a little butter. Let cool. Beat until it begins to harden and pour in a shallow pan and cut in squares.
