BAKED APPLE DUMPLINGS 
6 med. size apples
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
butter
2 c. water
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Peel and core the apples. Mix the 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and butter and place some of the mixture into the apple. In a saucepan combine the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Use this mixture as a sauce for the dumplings. Bake the apple dumplings at 425 degrees for 40 minutes.
