SWEET CHUNK PICKLE 
4 lbs. (3 to 4 inch) cucumbers, cut in 1/4 inch slices
1 qt. white vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. mustard seed

Combine and simmer 5 to 7 minutes or dull green. Combine: 1 tbsp. whole allspice 1 2.3 c. white vinegar 2 1/4 tsp. celery seed

Heat just to boiling. Drain cucumbers, discard liquid. Pack hot slices into jars and cover with syrup. Process 5 minutes. Makes 4 to 5 pints.
