SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
1 lb. hamburger
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 beaten egg
1 c. oatmeal
2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. fat
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Pinch allspice

Combine meat, onion, egg, oatmeal, milk, seasonings, and sugar. Mix thoroughly and shape into 1 1/2-inch balls. Roll in flour; brown in fat in large skillet. Remove from pan.

Add 1 cup bouillon and thicken with 2 tablespoons flour and 1/3 cup water mixed to a smooth paste. Season with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.

Add meatballs to sauce. Cover and cook at low heat for 20 minutes. (Option: May use diluted mushroom soup as sauce and bake in oven at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.)
