HOT HAMBURGERS | |
1 lb. hamburger meat 1 c. catsup 1/4 c. water 1 tbsp. mustard 3 tbsp. vinegar 4 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt (or to taste) Pepper to taste Paprika (1 tsp. or to taste) Brown hamburger meat well, crumbling into small pieces. Drain off excess fat. Add rest of ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes or longer over low heat. Taste improves the longer it simmers. Spoon onto hamburger buns and watch them disappear. This recipe can be made well ahead of time and can be doubled, tripled, etc. |
