CHICKEN CASSEROLE | |
2-3 c. chicken or meat off 1 cooked chicken 1 c. cooked rice 1 c. diced celery 1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts 1/2 c. or 1 sm. pkg. slivered almonds 1 can cream of chicken soup 3/4 c. mayonnaise (may substitute plain or non-fat yogurt) 1/4 stick butter, melted 1 c. or can chow mein noodles Mix first 7 ingredients together, season lightly with salt and pepper. Place in ungreased casserole dish. Top with the melted butter and chow mein noodles. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 6 to 8. |
