1 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. butter
Dash salt
3 drops food coloring
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix first 4 ingredients in 2 quart saucepan and cook until soft ball stage, 234 degrees. Take off heat and add vanilla and food coloring. Pour over 3 quarts popcorn and stir.
