1 c. butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 egg, beaten 2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. ginger 2 tbsp. dark corn syrup 3 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. ground cloves Cream butter with sugar; blend in egg and corn syrup. Add flour, sifted with baking soda and spices. Mix well. Chill. Roll out to 1/8 inch thickness; cut with assorted cookie cutters. Bake at 325 degrees for 5 to 8 minutes. Makes 6 dozen. |
