KOYA'S STUFFED PEPPERS 
3 tbsp. shortening
1-2 lb. ground beef
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic
1 egg
1/2 c. flour
2 1/3 tbsp. non-fat dried milk
1 1/2 tbsp. chopped parsley
1/4 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. thyme
4 green peppers
1/2 c. water

Heat shortening in frying pan; add beef and onion; cook until beef is light brown, stirring 2-3 times. Rub inside of bowl with garlic. Add beef mixture, egg, flour, nonfat dried milk, parsley, milk, and seasonings; mix. Mix peppers and remove stems and sees. Fill with beef mixture. Place peppers in a shallow 6 x 8 inch dish. Add water; cover. Cook at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Boil 3 inches form heat unit for 3 minutes.
