BASIC DEVILED EGGS 
6 hard-cooked eggs
3 tbsp. mayonnaise
1 tsp. vinegar
2 tsp. prepared mustard
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. salt

Cut eggs in half lengthwise and remove yolks to a small bowl. Mash yolks, then mix in remaining ingredients until smooth. Spoon or pipe into egg whites and garnish, if desired, with strips of pimento or a sprinkle of paprika. Makes 12.

Variation 1: Add 2 tablespoons pimento-stuffed olives, minced.

Variation 2: Add 1/4 cup crisp, finely crumbled bacon.

Variation 3: Omit mustard and salt; add 2 tablespoons anchovy paste.

Variation 4: Omit vinegar; add 1 tablespoon drained pickle relish.

Variation 5: Reduce mayonnaise to 2 tablespoons
