TOMATO PIE 
1 (9 inch) deep dish pie shell
5 peeled ripe tomatoes, thickly sliced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 tsp. dried basil and dried onions
Garlic powder to taste
3/4 c. mayonnaise
1 1/4 c. grated cheddar cheese

Bake pie shell 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Layer tomatoes in shell, sprinkling each layer with salt, pepper, basil, garlic powder and dried onions. Combine mayonnaise and cheese; spread over tomatoes. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until browned and bubbly. Let stand 5 minutes or more before serving. Serves 6-8.
