BOSTON BROWN BREAD 
1/2 lb. raisins
1 stick butter
2 c. boiling water
2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. cinnamon
6 green bean cans or 3-4 coffee cans

In a bowl, cut up butter with raisins, add baking soda and pour boiling water all and let set overnight.

In another bowl, put eggs, beat lightly. Add sugar, salt, flour, soda, cinnamon. Mix together and add raisin mixture. Mix well.

Grease and flour 6 green bean cans or 3-4 coffee cans. Put wax paper rounds in bottom. Fill half full and place on cookie sheet. Place foil loosely over top of cans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool until warm and pour out of cans. Cool completely before you put Saran Wrap on it.
