CABBAGE HAMBURG CASSEROLE 
1/2 lb. cabbage
1 lb. hamburg
1/2 c. minute rice
1 onion
2 cans tomato soup
McCormick season all salt
Pepper

Chop up cabbage 1/2 inch wide strips, put in greased casserole dish. Mix tomato and 1 can water. Add rice and season, salt and pepper. Pour HALF on top of cabbage. Fry hamburg and onion - drain. Add a little of grease to the remaining sauce. Put hamburg-onion on top of cabbage - pour remaining sauce on top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour until tender.

I made this recipe this evening and was great. I made some changes as I boiled
the cabbage until tender and drained it before putting it into dish. I also
put 2 cups of rice instead of 1 cup. I baked it for half hour instead of one hour.
family loved it. I will be making it again for sure.

This tastes just like cabbage rolls but a LOT easier to make and to eat! I've made it several times. I sometimes use part of a bag of pre-shredded cabbage with carrots you can get for making slaw. I found I really like the taste the carrots add.
