SWEET MUSTARD SLAW | |
Perfect with pulled smoked pork or chicken. 1 medium head cabbage 1/2 medium sweet onion 1/3 cup white vinegar 1/3 cup mustard 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp. celery seed 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. black pepper Note: I don't recommend using pre-shredded bags of cole slaw mix for this recipe. Remove core from cabbage and cut cabbage into quarters. Slice each quarter into very thin strips. Cut onion into very thin strips. Mix cabbage and onions together. I use a bread knife to slice cabbage. Mix remaining ingredients in a separate bowl. Mix well. Pour dressing on cabbage and onion mixture. Refrigerate a few hours before serving.
