CARROT PUDDING 
1 c. sugar
1 c. grated carrots
1 c. grated raw potatoes
1/3 c. shortening
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 c. flour (plus 1 tbsp.) in which 1 c. raisins & 1/2 c. nuts has been mixed

Steam 3 hours. Serve with whipped cream or sauce.
