1 c. softened butter
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 lg. pkg. chocolate chips or M&M'S®

Combine butter, brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla, and eggs together. In another bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking soda.

After mixing, combine wet and dry ingredients together. Mix in chocolate chips or M&M'S®. Place by teaspoons on cookie sheet. Put in preheated oven at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes approximately 2 dozen cookies.
