MOLLY'S EGG NOG | |
5 lg. cans evaporated milk 1 can condensed milk 5 lg. cans (evaporated milk) water 8 eggs, separated yolk & whites 2 1/2 c. sugar 1 tbsp. vanilla extract Mix all evaporated milk, water and condensed milk in large 7 quart pot. Let milk mixture heat until almost comes to a boil. Turn fire off before coming to boil. Mix egg yolk and 2 cups sugar, vanilla extract and little milk mixture to make into pouring consistency and add to pot of milk while stirring. Keep heat off. Beat egg whites and add 1/2 cup of sugar. Once mixture is stiff, spoon egg whites onto top of milk mixture in pot. Yield: 12 to 16 cups or glasses. |
