2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
12 egg yolks
4 qts. milk
12 egg whites
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla

Cook first 4 ingredients until it is thick enough to coat a spoon. In a separate mixing bowl, beat egg whites and sugar. After egg yolk mixture cools add egg whites. Add teaspoon of vanilla.
