COOKIES TO STORE 
1 c. butter
1 c. white granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 beaten eggs
4 c. flour

Beat together granulated sugar and butter until creamy. Add brown sugar, keep beating. Add vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamy mixture, alternating with beaten eggs. Blend well.

Place on a powdered surface and knead lightly. Roll out dough until 1/4 inch thick. Cut out cookies with pastry cutter. Place cookies on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 200 degrees for 10-12 minutes. When cooled, they can be frosted with boiled sugar frosting and garnished with nuts. To store, place unfrosted cookies in an airtight container.
