1/2 c. butter
1 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Allow butter to come to room temperature. Cream together butter and peanut butter. Add sugars gradually and cream together until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg and beat well. Stir in flour, sifted together with soda, baking powder and salt. Mix thoroughly. Chill dough. Shape into balls and place 2" apart on baking sheet; flatten with fork. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
