TWENTY FOUR HOUR SALAD 
1 1/2 to 2 heads lettuce, broken into bite size pieces
1 1/2 c. celery, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped or sliced into rings
1 to 2 red onions, thinly sliced
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas
1 pt. mayonnaise
2 to 3 tbsp. sugar
1 (3 oz.) can grated Parmesan cheese
Croutons
Fried bacon, crumbled
Tomato wedges

Arrange lettuce, celery, bell pepper, onions and green peas in a large bowl in layers. Coat the top with mayonnaise; sprinkle on the sugar and cheese. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight. At serving time, add croutons, bacon and tomato garnish. This is pretty served in a glass bowl.
