OATMEAL BROWNIES 
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. cocoa
3 tbsp. quick-cooking oats (uncooked)

Grease an 8-inch square pan and line with wax paper; set aside. Combine butter (or butter, sugars and vanilla; stir well. Add eggs; stir well. Combine flour, baking powder and cocoa in a small bowl; add to creamed mixture, stirring well. Stir in pecans and oats.

Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 18 minutes. (Center will be soft). Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan and remove wax paper. Cut into squares.
