OKTOBERFEST PORK CHOP CASSEROLE | |
4 or 5 slices bacon 1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut 4-6 pork chops, about 3/4" thick 1 lg. onion, sliced thin 2 or 3 lg. potatoes, peeled, sliced 1 (16 oz.) can solid pack tomatoes, chopped 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. caraway seed Cover bottom of a casserole with slices of bacon. Top the bacon with a layer of sauerkraut. Lay the pork chops on top with a layer of onion rings. Next arrange a layer of thin potato slices. Cover with tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle on the caraway seeds. Cover and bake at 350 degrees about 2 hours. |
