BEEF AND RICE CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 Bermuda onion, sliced
1 green pepper, sliced
2 tbsp. fat
1 c. rice
2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 c. cooked tomatoes

Lightly brown beef, onion and pepper in fat on high heat. Wash rice. Combine all ingredients in 2-quart casserole; cover. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
