DELIA'S BLUEBERRY CAKE | |
1 1/2 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 2 egg whites 2 egg yolks 1/2 c. shortening 1 c. sugar 1/3 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 pt. floured blueberries Sift flour, baking powder and salt 3 times. Set aside. Beat egg whites until stiff and set aside. Cream; shortening, sugar and beaten yolks. Add flour mixture, alternating with milk, to creamed sugar shortening and yolks. Fold in egg whites and vanilla. Add blueberries (floured). Pour into muffin cups or 8 x 8 inch cake pan. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, muffins. 40 to 45 minutes, cake. |
