CHOCOLATE DECORATIONS 
6 oz. semi sweet chocolate
1 tsp. vegetable shortening

Melt shortening over hot water. Stir in the shortening. Spread thinly on cookie sheet lined with waxing paper or kitchen parchment. Chill in refrigerator or freezer for a few minutes or until chocolate just begins to set. Cut out desired shapes, using cookie cutters or knife. Any shapes...turkey for Thanksgiving cake, animals for child's birthday cake, etc. Replace in refrigerator until chocolate is completely firm. Peel paper off chocolate and separate shapes. Keep in covered tin box in the refrigerator or freezer.
