ALABAMA BISCUITS
2 1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 tbsp. sugar
1 pkg. of dry yeast (dissolved in 1/4 c. lukewarm water)
6 tbsp. oil
1 c. buttermilk

Mix all the ingredients together and set aside until the dough has raised and has gotten light, about an hour. Roll out the dough into biscuits about 1/4 inch in thickness. Next, butter the biscuits and let them raise for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy!
