ORANGE REFRIGERATOR CAKE
1 box white cake mix
1 pkg. orange gelatin, make as directed on pkg.

TOPPING:

1 env. Dream Whip
1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
1 1/2 c. cold milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Bake cake as directed on package. Let cool for 20 to 25 minutes while mixing Jello. Leave Jello at room temperature. Poke holes in warm cake, still in pan, about 1/2 inch apart. Slowly pour gelatin mixture into holes. Refrigerate cake while preparing topping.

In a chilled deep bowl, blend and whip topping mix, instant pudding mix, cold milk and vanilla until stiff, 3 to 8 minutes. Immediately frost cake. Cake must be stored in refrigerator and serve chilled. Frosted cake may be frozen for storage.

This recipe reminds me of a boxed refrigerator cake mix that was discontinued and made by either Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker. I thought the boxed mix was a winner-creamy, smooth, delicious and different.
