MOM'S SUGARED WALNUTS 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. walnuts

Without stirring, cook sugar, water, cinnamon and salt to softball stage, 236 degrees. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and nuts. Stir gently until mixture becomes creamy. Turn onto greased cookie sheet. Separate nuts and cool.
