HOLIDAY SUGARED WALNUTS 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. corn syrup
1/2 tsp. vanilla or butter flavoring
1/4 tsp. salt
3 c. walnuts or pecans

In a heavy bottom saucepan, cook first 4 ingredients to soft ball stage (234-238°F on a candy thermometer).

Remove immediately from heat add walnuts. Stir until creamy. Pour out onto buttered wax paper or a silicone pan liner and separate the nuts using a spatula.

Cool and seal in an airtight container.
