BEEF STROGANOFF 
1 1/2# round steak (cut into bite size pieces)
1 stick butter
1 med. can sliced mushrooms (drained)
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
2 cans water
1 pt. sour cream
6 oz. grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 bag wide egg noodles
1 sm. onion, chopped
Garlic salt to taste

Brown meat in stick of butter along with chopped onion. Add all other ingredients except cheese, sour cream, and noodles. Add garlic salt, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for a couple hours till well blended. Add noodles. After noodles have become tender, add cheese and cook till it bubbles. Then turn off heat and add sour cream. Serve immediately. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
