BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
2 to 3 lb. country-style spareribs

SAUCE:

1/2 c. ketchup
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. chili sauce
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. brown sugar
1 onion, chopped
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Bring sauce ingredients to a boil in covered pan. Simmer for 15 minutes.

Place spareribs in pot of water. Bring to a boil in covered pot. Simmer 20 minutes; drain.

Place in casserole; pour sauce over ribs. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours.

Variation: Use chicken or pork chops.
