SRI LANKAN RICE 
4 c. rice
1 pkg. mixed vegetables (fresh or frozen)
1 c. chopped scallions
Garlic and ginger
Salt and pepper
Basil
Mixed herbs
Parsley
Oil

Wash rice as given in the directions and set aside. In a large saucepan, warm the oil and add the garlic, ginger, mixed herbs, basil, chopped scallions and vegetables. Once it is all sauteed, add the rice to it and mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste. Then put in enough water to cover the rice and vegetables and let it cook on a medium fire until the rice is done. Garnish with parsley.
