MICROWAVE DIVINITY | |
3 c. sugar 1/2 c. white syrup 2/3 c. water 1/4 tsp. salt 2 egg whites 1/4 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped nuts In 3 quart bowl, cook sugar syrup and water on high for 12 to 13 minutes until it spins a fine thread. I stir mine a couple times being verrry careful not to get burned by steam. Add salt to egg whites and beat them on high speed until stiff. Slowly pour syrup mixture in a thin stream into the egg whites, beating constantly until mixture loses its shine and thickens. Stir in vanilla and nuts quickly and drop by teaspoons on wax paper. Microwave vary in wattage so its important you cook the syrup until it spins a fine thread when dripped form a spoon held over hot water. |
