1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. sour cream
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and sour cream; sift flour, soda, salt, and nutmeg. Add to creamed mixture with vanilla. Then chill at least 1 hour. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Sprinkle sugar on slightly flattened dough 1 1/2 inches in diameter before baking.
