CREAM CHEESE SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg yolk (reserve white)
2 1/4 c. flour

In large bowl combine sugar, butter, cream cheese, salt, almond extract, vanilla and egg yolk; blend well. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup level off. Stir in flour until well blended. Chill dough 2 hours.

Heat oven to 375 degrees. On lightly floured surface, roll out dough. One third at a time to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut into shapes with lightly floured cookie cutters. May brush tops of cookies with slightly beaten egg white and sprinkle with colored sugar or decorate with icing. Bake 7-10 minutes or until golden brown. 5-6 dozen cookies.
